TERMS OF SALE:
All goods remain the property of Britannica Restorations Ltd. until fully paid for
To place an order, please call or email for full pricing,
freight and payment details. Please supply as much information as possible on
the vehicle (Including VIN Number) as Britannica Restorations cannot be held responsible for supplying
wrong goods if erratic or incorrect information was given at the time of
ordering.
Payment may be made bank cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard or by direct bank
deposit. Payments made through personal or business cheques will be subject to
cheque clearance of 30 working days before any goods may be dispatched. Credit
card purchases over C$1000 will be subject to a 3.5% charge to cover costs
Sorry, no shipments will be forwarded C.O.D. (Canada post up to 30 kg) except
in Canada - customers will incur any charges
Good destined for Quebec carry GST and PST. Goods for the rest of Canada carry
GST. Goods destined for the US and overseas export have no Canadian tax
Please note, goods supplied and fitted here in Quebec, or purchased
here in Quebec, even by none
Quebec residents, will be charged GST and PST.
A tax refund service is available at the border for US residents - please inquire at Canada customs when leaving Canada (Any tax total over $499 Canadian will be reimbursed by mail)
All transactions are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise
USED PARTS:
All used parts taken off vehicles are supplied in good faith and as described at the time of purchase.
Warranties on all used parts are 14 days from date of shipping. (An exception to this is on engines, gearboxes and axles which carries a 30 day warranty unless stated otherwise)
Used parts, unless proved defective or supplied wrong by Britannica Restorations, are considered an outright sale and no refund or credit will be issued. Parts must be returned within 14 days
We do not supply used hydraulic cylinders / callipers unless they are for a rebuild.
These parts are supplied at the customers risk
SHIPPING DETAILS:
The price of freight and packaging is not included in the
sale price.
Britannica Restorations Ltd. can arrange freight on your behalf should you require cartage of your goods to your premises.
Goods can be dispatched by Canada Post, Purolator, the bus company (Canada only) or truck (we use Manotoulin (www.manatoulintransport.com) for all our North American heavy shipping
Please note. For Fed Ex. Goods over 130 linier inches or 70 Lbs ( Length + (2 x Height) + (2 x Width)) have to be shipped by truck - the only carrier to exceed this is Purolator
If you choose to nominate your own freight company, this must be stated in writing along with an account number or the shipment will not be forwarded.
Goods shipped by truck to the US have to have customs clearance before leaving Canada. All taxes and fees have to be paid before dispatch. If you wish to have your trucking company pick up the goods, it is your responsibility to arrange suitable customs clearance
DROP SHIPPING:
Goods 'drop shipped', become the customers property / responsibility once left the Freight on Board point (FoB) All papers attaining to importation of goods such as bills of laden etc., will be forwarded to the customer at a pre designated address
Britannica Restorations Ltd. is not responsible for any taxes or fees once goods have left the FoB point - in most cases the FoB point is Norwich, United Kingdom.
Insurance is the customers responsibility and must be pre paid prior to shipment. Britannica Restorations Ltd. can inform of charges and arrange suitable cover on the customers behalf.
Any fuel surcharges are the customers responsibility. Shipping quotes for truck and overseas services are valid for 14 days.
INSURANCE:
Britannica Restorations Ltd only uses reputable
carriers. if merchandise is lost or damaged while in transit, please contact
the carrier involved, the responsibility is theirs. Damaged claims or shortages
should be filed promptly. Insurance of goods in transit is the responsibility of
the purchaser and the carrier after they leave the company's factory. We strongly
advise our customers to take extra damage insurance. If any goods are lost or
damaged in transit, please contact us for shipping details and we will attempt
to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
RETURN OF GOODS:
Goods for credit must be returned within 14 days of the
purchase date.
Used parts, unless proved defective or supplied wrong by Britannica Restorations, are considered an outright sale and no refund or credit will be issued
All components must be in new condition, the return freight paid by the customer. Proof of purchase must accompany any goods returned as well as a valid reason for the return.
Original boxes must be clean and undamaged
Goods that have been specially made or imported cannot be returned unless they
are proved to be faulty. Goods that have been ground, drilled, welded, or
modified in any way will not be accepted.
All goods returned will be subjected to a restocking fee of up to 20% except in
the case of faulty goods.
Individual items from kits that are not used cannot be returned for credit.
CORE CHARGES:
Some of the components that Britannica Restorations Ltd.
supply are sold on an exchange basis. A core charge will be charged on any such
item if the item is not supplied to us at the time of ordering.
Returned exchange items must be in a serviceable condition for the core change
to be credited. Penalties and possible forfeiting of the change over deposit
will be incurred if the change over item is not fit for its purpose.
Freight on exchange items, unless stated otherwise in writing, is the
responsibility of the sender. If you have an exchange unit to return, please
call and we will arrange for a pick up. Please ensure that the item meets the
freight company terms and conditions (oil drained, suitably packaged, etc...) as
Britannica Restorations Ltd will not be held responsible for any claim arising
from the shipping of the exchange unit.
Rebuilt units are automatically assumed a core charge and old units must be returned
A valid credit card number must be submitted at the time of ordering a rebuilt unit - if the old unit is not returned in 14 days you will be deducted for the price of the core.
WARRANTY:
New Parts
| All new parts supplied by Britannica Restorations Ltd. have a (12) twelve - month warranty from the date of dispatch. |
Used Parts
| All reconditioned and used parts have a 15 day warranty from the date of dispatch. | |
| (exception to this is full engine assemblies, gearboxes and axles - 30 days) |
No warranty will apply to any components used in any competition vehicle or any vehicle used in off road events.
('Events' is described as with or without reward, but where a competitive challenge is the objective)
The repairs or replacements under this warranty will be subject to the following conditions:
| Whether the part is repaired or replaced is the sole option of Britannica Restorations Ltd. | |
| All warranty claims must be returned to the factory at the customer's expense. No shipment will be accepted unless it has been prepaid. | |
| The warranty on these products does not cover the removal or refitting expenses, loss of use of the vehicle, loss of time, inconvenience, towing or recovery or any other consequential damages. These costs will be borne by the customer. | |
| All parts must be returned to the factory for inspection before any warranty claim may be processed in it's original state. | |
| That the defect was not caused by an accident, misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance. | |
| Engines, transmissions and axles will have defective parts supplied only - new parts wherever possible - no labour costs will be incurred. | |
| No parts supplied by Britannica Restorations Ltd. or it's subsidiary companies can be altered, modified, disassembled or re welded without the written consent from Britannica Restorations Ltd.. | |
| No warranty will be considered on any item that has been modified in any way or kind of form e.g.: ground or drilled without the written consent of Britannica Restorations Ltd. | |
| No warranty will apply if any modifications are carried out to boost performance of a unit, or to enhance cooling or lubrication within the warranty period | |
| No warranty will apply to any components that are improperly installed. | |
| No warranty will apply if engines, gearboxes or other mechanical units are run unlubricated - all shipped units should be considered DRY, and levels are the customers responsibility. | |
| No warranty will apply if the wrong grade / type of lubricant is used | |
| No warranty claim will be considered unless an invoice copy or proof of purchase date accompanies any claim. | |
| Kits - all kits are supplied in good faith as running units - any parts not mentioned are considered not included - this includes sundry items such as gaskets, hose clips etc |
EBay goods:
| All goods sold on EBay are considered surplus to our stock. | |

| Goods packed to basic requirements - any substantial packing will be charged for = materials / time only - customer must specify when ordering and pay the costs incurred. | |
| Shipping of goods will have $10 - $20 added to the price of shipping for handling etc - we have 15 km run to the bus depot or post office - this is at Britannica Restorations discrepancy | |
| Goods shipped by truck from our yard will be handled free of charge providing the truck can enter the yard and can be loaded by fork lift. Man handling of goods will be charged at $50 per hour minimum charge 1 hour |
